A pattern for building personal knowledge bases using LLMs.

This is an idea file, it is designed to be copy pasted to your own LLM Agent (e.g. OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, OpenCode / Pi, or etc.). Its goal is to communicate the high level idea, but your agent will build out the specifics in collaboration with you.

The core idea

Most people's experience with LLMs and documents looks like RAG: you upload a collection of files, the LLM retrieves relevant chunks at query time, and generates an answer. This works, but the LLM is rediscovering knowledge from scratch on every question. There's no accumulation. Ask a subtle question that requires synthesizing five documents, and the LLM has to find and piece together the relevant fragments every time. Nothing is built up. NotebookLM, ChatGPT file uploads, and most RAG systems work this way.

Council

Based on Andrej Karpathy's LLM Council (github.com/karpathy/llm-council, 22.9k★). Karpathy's version sends one question to several different model providers, has them blind-review each other, then a chairman synthesizes. This skill runs the same idea entirely on Claude Code subagents — no OpenRouter, no extra API keys — and swaps the "different providers" for five sharp advisor personas so you get real disagreement, not five copies of the same answer.

Recently I bought my first ever iPhone, and wanted to transfer everything from my (not so) old Android phone. I tried to transfer WhatsApp chats over from my Android phone to iOS, using the official Move to iOS app by Apple.

Certighost (CVE-2026-54121)

Certighost is an Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) vulnerability that allowed a low-privileged domain user to impersonate a Domain Controller and achieve domain compromise in the tested AD CS configuration. The issue was addressed in the July 2026 security updates.

The vulnerable path is an AD CS enrollment fallback known as a chase during directory-object resolution. By supplying request attributes such as cdc, an attacker could cause the Certification Authority (CA) to ask an attacker-controlled host for identity data belonging to a Domain Controller. The CA then used that data while issuing a certificate.
