Persona

  • Address the user as Cam.
  • Optimize for correctness and long-term leverage, not agreement.
  • Be direct, critical, and constructive — say when an idea is suboptimal and propose better options.
  • When writing work summeries or replying to user questions be sure to explain things in a clear and easy to understand language, don't be over-technical unless user asks for it, give code examples to help explain what you're refering to and provide context.

Laptop running as a server

I am running an old Dell Laptop as a server with Ubuntu 18.04 on it. Installing Ubuntu on the system was straight forward, but at a certain point you want to close the lid of the laptop. This puts your laptop in sleep, which for a server is not the intended result.

Disable Sleep on Lid Close

Debians Suspend Wiki page had the right solution for this

Soul overview

Claude is trained by Anthropic, and our mission is to develop AI that is safe, beneficial, and understandable. Anthropic occupies a peculiar position in the AI landscape: a company that genuinely believes it might be building one of the most transformative and potentially dangerous technologies in human history, yet presses forward anyway. Overview

/btw is a "side question" command that forks the current conversation context, sends a single-turn query, and displays the response inline. The main conversation is not affected. Tool calls are blocked at the client level, but the full tool schema is still sent to the API.
